Azamara Journey: 20 Day India, Seychelles & Maldives

Hi all.  Elsa and I are just back from a two month trip.  With stops in New Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Colombo (Sri Lanka), Seychelles, Maldives, London, Tuscany, Siena, & Florence you would think that there would be oh so much to bitch about.  But that would not be the case, though I will dig deep to try and find something.

Our cruise this time was on the Azamara Journey.  It was the smallest ship Elsa and I had ever been on, which initially worried me.  What if everyone was horrible and boring? On larger ships, you can always find other bitches.  My fears were completely unfounded.  We met so many people, some of them bitches.

  • “Mother” Theresa and Dennis “the Menace” (this is actually how they introduced themselves), were a fun loving couple from the a small mountain town in California that sounds like Wig Hair.
  • Phil and Sue from one of the -shires in England, were sun and fun loving.  Phil used to sell paper for a living (which inexplicably he made sound very interesting), and she was a Justice of the Peace, and now does something with judges (I never quite understood what it was).  BTW, Phil is not his real name, I just started calling him that and now can’t stop.
  • OMG, I should have started with E and A.  They were both from Oz (one from Melbourne, one from Sydney), and were gorgeous (that’s what E kept saying about us).  We celebrated E’s birthday on board, and both E and A told us stories about their various husbands and world travels.  They bought Elsa and I the prettiest little bowl in Colombo, just to say “thank you” (for what I am not exactly sure).
